Note:

To coincide with the electronica revolution of the late '90s, Bill Laswell remixed a number of Bob Marley records as ambient dub for the Dreams of Freedom: Ambient Translations of Bob Marley in Dub album. If these songs were remixed by any other producer, the results could have been disastrous, but Laswell is one of the masters of intellectual dub -- he knows what to take out and what to add, creating a spacious, cavernous mix that is provocative without being extreme. Some longtime Marley fans will balk at the very idea of the album, but the results are undeniably impressive, even if it's a little too restrained and cerebral to qualify as first-rate ambient dub for clubs.

Formado por Frank Medeiros, (vocal, percussão e berimbau); Gustavo “Avohai” Medeiros, (violão, guitarra e escaleta); Diego Nunes, (guitarra e cavaco); Guilherme “Pilha” Santana, (baixo); Nido, (flauta transversal). Fabrício “Pokemon” Eufrázio, (bateria).
Em novembro de 2008 lançou seu primeiro disco. Denominado "Mãe Terra", traz um trabalho totalmente independente desde composição, arranjos, produção, mixagem e masterização. Temos um ideal forte, os temas abrangem meio ambiente, preservação, amar ao próximo, e temos como objetivo levar essa mensagem boa a todas as pessoas. Com a intenção de mostrar uma renovação, como a chegada da primavera que faz as plantas desenvolver folhas novas e verdinhas, o encarte do CD é todo de material reciclado.

This is the band Groove Jamaica, born in Tubarão-SC, are on the road to 6 years.

“Dub Echoes” is a documentary that traces the origins of the
Jamaican dub music and it’s influence on the development of
hip hop and electronic music. !

The film shows how the Jamaican invention called dub ended up
influencing much of the music we hear today, from electronic
music to hip-hop, transforming the studio in a musical
instrument and giving way to all of sonic experiments.

The Semente da Paz is a musical group formed in May 2002 in the city of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil with the aim of playing Reggae music of spiritual praise to Jah.

The band has their own compositions, when clicking the Nyabinghi Reggae music and its aspects (Ska, Rocksteady, Raggamuffin, Dub style, Dance Hall), innovating to each disc produced. The lyrics talk about the unconditional love, social issues and the cult of nature.



A Semente da Paz é um grupo musical formado em maio de 2002 na cidade de Salvador-BA, com o principal objetivo de tocar música Reggae espiritual de louvor a Jah.

A banda possui composições próprias, sempre pulsando o Reggae Nyabinghi e suas vertentes musicais (Ska, Rocksteady, Raggamuffin, Dub style, Dance Hall), inovando-se a cada disco produzido. As letras discursam sobre o Amor Incondicional, questões sociais e o culto à Natureza.
